Note: the Jury Fee is $15 and non-refundable. The Exhibition (Booth) Fee is $65.00. Date:

Saturday, July 18, 2009, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Location: Lake Mills Commons Park, located in the heart of downtown Lake Mills at the corner of Main and Lake Streets.

Accepted Media:

Original fine art and fine craft in the categories of painting, photography, mixed media, sculpture, fiber, glass, jewelry and pottery.

Eligibility:

Open to all artists who are Wisconsin residents 18 years and older, exhibiting works of original concept, design and execution. ARTISTS MUST APPEAR IN-PERSON.

Demonstrations:

Consider demonstrating your trade at your booth—it brings patrons in close touch with the creation of art!

Selection of Artists:

All exhibitors will be selected by a jury of visual arts professionals.*

Work Samples :

Three photos (digital format), of artwork that accurately reflect the artwork to be presented (as it will be seen during the festival), as well as one of your booth set-up/display (showing tent), are required with your registration. Please mail with your other application materials or e-mail to jruntz@jefnet.com.

Booth:

10 x 10 is the smallest acceptable booth size, 10 x 15 the largest – to be supplied by exhibitor. A white Easy-Up or similar shelter* is required for each booth space. Electricity is not supplied. Please contact Robin Untz at (920) 648-4368 if you have questions. *Please list tent size in application.

Deadlines:

Applications are no longer being accepted for the 2009 Lake Mills Arts Festival. (Applications were accepted through May 1, 2009.) Notification of acceptance will be sent in a timely manner. Un-cashed checks will be returned with computer disks or photographs in the event artists are not accepted.

Jurors:

Bill Bale is a craftsman of modern arts and crafts furniture. He is the owner of Sandhill Designs in Fort Atkinson.
Amy Arntson is a watercolor artist and Emerita Professor of Art at University of Wisconsin - Whitewater.
She lives in Lake Mills.
Lynn Gaffey specializes in glass and wearable art. She is the owner of Almont Gallery in Waukesha.

Judges (day of the festival):
Kevin Beth is a goldsmith and owner of Traveler's Alley Studio in Lake Mills.
Mark Batory is a potter at The Potter's Shop in downtown Waukesha.
Jean Christianson is an illustrator and graphic artist. Her business, Creative Spirit, is located in Delavan.
