	February 9	The Knickerbocker Ice Festival Bundle up the family for Lake Mills’ winter festival which includes ice carvings, 9 holes of ice golf, an all day fisheree, a snow ball eating contest plus numerous entrée’s and drink specials on the Main Street menu from the local drinking and eating establishments. 	April	Spring Window Decorating Theme for Downtown Businesses is “Fun on the Lake"
	Wednesday evenings May-October Commons Park	Farmers Markets From May thru October enjoy the open market of fresh produce, flowers, antiques and crafts in Commons Park. Pie Baking Contest & Auction June 4
	May 3 (May 10 rain date)	Downtown Beautification Days Volunteers are needed to help plant planters, sweep sidewalks, pick up trash and pull weeds. This is followed by a Lunch cookout in Commons Park for volunteers. Download more information on Downtown Beautification Days.
	June 28	Town & Country Days – Bed Races Wake up Lake Mills the Main Street Program is bringing back the crazy bed races. Call the MS office for an entry form. Everything is BEDter during Town and Country Days! Bed Races Rules, Regulations & Entry Form
	July 16	Christmas in July Start your shopping early during the downtown sidewalk sales. Then enjoy the brat cookout and City Band Concert with a special appearance from Santa.
	July 19 Commons Park	Lake Mills Arts Festival Back by popular demand is the 2nd annual juried show of regional fine artists selling art and demonstrating their trade. Festival includes children’s activities, live music and food.
	October	Scarecrow Contest A little creativity, a few items from your attic or favorite thrift store and a scarecrow frame is all you need to enter this contest. Any individual, family, business or group is invited to participate. Link for Rules and Regulations Link for Scarecrow Entry Form
	October 18 Downtown Lake Mills	The Painted Ladies Annual Fling A community event celebrating the renaissance of downtown Lake Mills. This year’s theme is “A One Night Stand”. Event includes live music, silent and live auctions and wine tasting at designated locations in downtown.
	October 31, 4-6 p.m.	Witches Night Out Trick or Treat with our local merchants downtown. Bring the family because there is something for everyone to enjoy. In-store specials, music in the park, hayrides, pumpkinary illuminating the streets and a brat cookout.
	November 28, 6:15 p.m. Commons Park	Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony The evening includes caroling, refreshments and a visit from Santa who will light the Community Christmas Tree with his “special magic.”
